
Dr Gunilla Sandström, who collaborated with Dr. Shalit, has developed a number of variants and applications under the brand name TopDec®. TopDec® has been used as an individual analytical instrument in the selection of candidates during recruitment, as a tool for large organisational analysis, as a self-help aid and also as a tool in Ms Sandström’s psycho therapeutic activity.
In 1994 TopDec® was used in collaboration with the Technical University of Luleå. During that period the public and private sectors evolved to using PCs instead of mainframe computers. This technological change became the trigger to measure the change in the attitudes of 27 000 people and, based on their results, TopDec® provided the basis for individualized training, to provide the fastest possible implementation.
During 2002 – 2008 TopDec® achieved wide international distribution and at the Universiti Malaya Kebangsa in Kuala Lumpur seven professors have been certified in the TopDec® methodology.
2010 TopDec® was introduced in Sweden as a self coaching tool as well as a tool used in business for both recruitment and as well individual as organisation-wide improvement.
In the period 2006-2012 TopDec® was developed as an online method. In South East Asia Dr Gunilla Sandström has conducted a waste out of projects to evaluate the human capital for universities and private and public companies. In Sweden she has also performed a great number of management audits and immense organisational analysis within the corporate and public fields.
In 2018 TopDec is in an intense developmental stage when the tool is being tailored in many new ways to meet new needs in the market, specifically for major changes in developmental countries.
