MISSION
The management needed to do an assessment of their organisation to create a group of people sharing their core values while continuing to perform at top level. The management had a target to create teams that, with efficiency and proficiency would shape and execute their succession plan.
A total of 378 pax spread internationally and throughout all levels were integrated in the project.
DESIGN
All individuals in the company were invited to complete a TopDec. Primarily, managers and principles submitted their TopDec in order to perform a management audit and the results were used to pinpoint areas to be improved. The group results were presented and discussed on a summon meeting and the potential for the management team were identified. Every individual in the management team had their reports discussed with a consultant from TopDec. The individual results regarding their “Work-TopDec” was discussed with the CEO.
Following this exercise, all staff were invited to take a TopDec. Each manager was responsible for discussions of the individual “Work-TopDec” and presented their potentials and identify problems within their group.
After six months everybody within the staff were invited to pursue a new TopDec to detect missions to be brought forward and discussed.
RESULTS
The first assessment took place three weeks after the project was agreed and embraced 40 seniors and managers. The results from this survey was presented at the client’s yearly summon meeting. The survey continued by assessing the rest of the staff and the consultants from TopDec implemented the assessment over four months.
TopDec presented a very clear picture of existing attitudes and the capability of people in the organisation. Some individuals were given new positions and some had to leave their positions within the company due to failure in performance or incoherence in attitudes related to the company’s core values.
The management team concluded that TopDec enabled them to get a very sharp and clear picture of the company’s potential and pinpointed their actual problems which became a wake up call in their ambition to plan for succession.
